May 2026 | Congratulations to Kayla, and Welcome (back) to Lainie!

Big news in the LAMP Lab!

Kayla Drifka, our current research coordinator for the Sips and Shapes Study, is joining the clinical psychology program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Fall 2026! Congratulations Kayla for a truly well-deserved achievement! Kayla will be dearly missed by everyone in the LAMP Lab. She was a wonderful colleague and terrific research coordinator. We are very excited about her very promising future as a scholar!

Taking over Kayla’s duties in July, we are pleased to welcome Lainie Mueller back to the LAMP Lab! Freshly graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Truman State University, Lainie was an intern in our lab last summer as part of the NIAAA-funded MU Alcohol Research Training Summer School (Summer 2025). As part of her internship, Lainie launched and ran one of the Cuetopia studies. Lainie is also the artist who drew the EEG-wearing capybara drawing in our lab logo. It’s good to have you back, Lainie!
