May 2026 | Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction 2026
We are thrilled to share that members of our team recently returned from the 2026 Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction (CPA) conference! This marked our first time attending this specific meeting, and it certainly won’t be our last. The opportunity to exchange perspectives with colleagues across the field of addiction science was both inspiring and invaluable.
Postbaccalaureate Research Coordinator Kayla Drifka and first-year Clinical Psychology graduate student Julian Aponte presented research findings from the lab at the 2026 Collaborative Perspectives On Addiction.
An exploratory classification of young adult substance use patterns: a methodological comparison of clustering analyses Kayla Drifka; Julian Aponte Zabala; Sandie Keerstock; Roberto Cofresi
We also want to highlight Robin Arnold, a graduate student in the MU Cognitive Neuroscience program, who presented her research on “Emotion Dysregulation in Nicotine-Alcohol Co-Use,” a project conducted in collaboration with Dr. Cofresi.
It was wonderful to see talented trainees represented on the national stage!
